Nuffield Health Wellbeing Personal Trainer: Jobs & Pay 2025

If you’re a dedicated and driven personal trainer, joining Nuffield Health could be the perfect career move for you. As the UK’s largest healthcare charity, we offer a unique environment where you can thrive professionally while positively impacting people’s lives. In addition to a fulfilling career, you’ll benefit from paid holidays and won’t have to pay to train clients at our state-of-the-art facilities.

What We’re Looking For

At our Hendon club, we seek confident, friendly, and approachable personal trainers. Whether you’re an experienced trainer or newly qualified, having a REPs Level 3 or CIMSPA Practitioner qualification (or higher) is essential. Strong communication skills are vital, as you will need to listen, comprehend, and articulate information effectively to your clients.

Key Responsibilities of a Personal Trainer

As a personal trainer with Nuffield Health, your role will include:

  • Access to Comprehensive Services: Enjoy full access to our extensive range of health and fitness services, which will enhance your ability to support your clients.
  • Member Engagement: Connect with members, inspiring and motivating them to achieve their fitness objectives and adopt healthier lifestyles.
  • Session Delivery: Demonstrate confidence in leading various fitness sessions and consultations, ensuring a high standard of service.
  • Induction and Training: Conduct quality inductions, personal best programmes, group training sessions, and maintain general gym responsibilities.
  • Career Growth: Experience clear opportunities for career advancement, with pathways leading to positions such as Wellbeing Lead or management roles.
  • Further Training Opportunities: Take advantage of in-house training through our Personal Best program, Les Mills instructor training, group cycling, and additional continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities.

Salary Structure

The salary for this position is based on a 40-hour workweek, comprising 32 hours on the gym floor and 8 hours of personal training sessions. As your client base expands, you can reduce your gym floor hours to maximise your earning potential, which could reach up to £43,268.16 OTE (On-Target Earnings).

During your probation period, you will be guaranteed a minimum of 24 hours on the gym floor to ensure you have a stable income. As you grow your personal training clientele, your earnings will naturally increase.

Personal training sessions follow a sliding scale; the more sessions you deliver, the higher your take-home pay.
